我最爱的DVD：The Corrs，《Unplugged》。

是否太久没有看DVD了，还是真的仍然喜欢着。
第一次看这一个concert的时候，记得自己才17岁。那时候是MTV台播的，我还用录影机把它了录下来。从卡带看到买VCD；再多年后，从VCD看到买DVD。。。直到现在，这还是我最爱的演唱会DVD，甚至是百看不厌的。
原本自己就很喜欢The Corrs那种带点爱尔兰民族风的流行歌曲，再加上这一次有unplugged的重新编曲，更是让我爱疯了。也很喜欢他们舞台的设计，就是没有舞台的舞台，而坐在高脚椅的歌手乐手也跟观众们坐得很靠近。配上阴暗柔和的灯光，整个气氛真的很舒服，很relax。
除了享受观赏这场演唱会之外，我从这片DVD里也学到了不少东西。如果你有Surround的音响系统，你会听到，5个喇叭各播出不同的主要乐器和声音。而坐在中间听的话，那种感觉真的很奇妙，就好像自己也在现场一样。
这场演唱会DVD里，你就会听到：
－左前喇叭（LF) 有lead guitar，小提琴和Sharon的和音。
－中间喇叭（C）有Drums，bass guitar，主音Andrea。
－右前喇叭（RF）有rhythm guitar，钢琴，tin flute，Jim或Caroline的和音。
－左后喇叭（LR）会听到orchestra的小提琴，中提琴，brass and wind insruments。
－右后喇叭（RR）就有orchestra的大提琴，accordian和percussion。
就因为这样子，我慢慢的了解到一些混音的知识。而且，从那5个喇叭播出的声音，我更可以明显的听到所有乐器和和音的旋律，所以也尝试着去学会，在这unplugged里和我生活中可以找到的乐器，如小提琴，大提琴，钢琴，tin flute等。然后还跟着DVD里的音乐一起演奏。慢慢的也对音乐编曲开始有了很大的兴趣。
曾经，有一次的创作比赛我也跟着这种unplugged的方式，为朋友的作品编了一首，有钢琴，bass guitar，两个小提琴，一个大提琴，一个喇叭，然后一点点的cymbal。得到的评语都蛮不错，但因为编曲在那个时候不是最注重的部分，反而词曲创作的朋友才是会被发掘的，所以我还是个默默无名的小小编曲家。不过，我很enjoy大家一起做音乐的过程。
从此，我人生又多了一个愿望：我也要一个没有舞台的舞台，坐着高脚椅，与热爱音乐的朋友坐在一起，做一个Unplugged演唱会。
＊我会想学小提琴，也是因为在98年，在马来西亚举行的Commonwealth Games，看到The Corrs在那运动会闭幕仪式的表演，而开始对小提琴有更大的兴趣。

As for Corrs, their CD is putting on the market in Japan, too.
I saw their CD in Tower Records in the vincity several months ago,
however, I was searching for Latin Pops CD at that time,
only saw a little Corrs CD…hehe…There is Japanese site for Corrs.

I remember Daniel and siblings singing and playing to one of the Corrs song during Chinese New Year 1999/2000. And cousin Chew Ling’s wedding.??!!! Wonder if any family members got video clip of the performance!

其实，我现在也对编曲感到很有兴趣eh..hehe..算我这些年所学的音乐并不是浪费的..终于有“用武之地”了..说真的，对于那些orchestra里面得musical instrument,teory就读了很多..(钢琴也有学嘛〕..之前，我还一直埋怨学钢琴就学关于钢琴的好了嘛，为什么还有学其他的instrument..而且还要背every single thing..不过，我想一大班志同道合的朋友一起玩音乐的感觉应该蛮爽吧！！然后，把创作出来的歌收录在下一张album里。。hehe…

well,honestly i liked the corrs since i was quite small..ah, when i was a kid! i just love their music and songs that moment.some was relaxing,some was lively! aw, i just love them. but didnt know them so much like you! maybe, i was still young that time..so being forbidden in this and that =/ you really know almost everything about them. amazing~ hmm, looks like The Corrs plays some role too in influencing you to be You today. hehe. well, i wished to learn to play a musical instruments for so long. but which is better?haha..anyway it seems rather late for me now.hope to know more from you about things you like!take care~

Wah…now you inspired me to send Beverly for violin lessons as she has been wanting to learn that musical instrument, but I thot piano is more nimble for little girl’s fingers, hence I gave her 101 excuses each time she tells me about violin. Hmmmmm…wrong blog to read today, making me so guilty LOL.
Hey…can play music and sing during my silver jubilee or not?? Audience too old for you?? LOL…Ok, ok, I book you for Melody’s wedding (to sing lah kekeke!!)I can ensure to arrange for “a stage which is not a stage wif mic and high stool” - no prob…and, for you to be near the audience - lagi no prob, takut you keep pressing reversed gear only hahaha!!!!
Anyway, hope you will be able to do what you desire to do Daniel…making music from the heart. BTW, if you like violin, watch MUSIC OF THE HEART, starring Meryl Streep - a very heartwarming true story of her struggle and fight to bring violin music to recognition. Coincidentally, we just watched it again last nite.

The Corrs!!! The nice combination of voice and music instruments.
Hehe, not familiar with them until the commonwealth held in KL. The only international group who performed. Since that, i keep looking for their songs. The most familiar song to me and the mv they in the farm. Hehe, i always listen to their songs during secondary.
But now don’t know where i put their songs already. Haha, lost already. Seems like didn’t have their news already recently.
Hey, oh, thats why you join jazz band to learn violin. Oh i see! Daniel such a quick learner. Every instruments also you know one? =)

Daniel, remember the comments given by judge guest when you sang during spectacular “This not consider a performance, macam duduk sahaja.” hehe, something like that he said. I totally disagree with the guy!!
For me, unplugged, it’s kind of relaxing and romantic performances. It’s kind of different enjoying=)Wish you have one later one k!!!!

I wish i can learn music as well..i’m keen on this topic daniel posted.when i listen a song,i also like to listen the music arrangement.Unplugged..hmm..nice.how harmony the music intruments plus the vocal in performing live.The way to set up the music instruments on stage will influence the acoustic enviroment.That’s why i learn drums usually set in the center on the stage..drums..i like drums..
