Merdeka! Merdeka!!!
8月30日演出成功，真的超开心！感谢蔡同学跟我一起飙琴。
真难得，我们有机会再次合作，所以我想这一次不要只是唱了，既然大家都热爱音乐，更要争取这样的机会，不如就来飙一飙琴。
原本是想说一人弹钢琴，一人弹吉他，但觉得这样的搭配好像也只适合唱些抒情歌曲，而且在这样的舞台也不太方便吧！所以我们决定了要“小”乐器，而小提琴就是最好的选择了。
选了表演方式之后，最头痛的，就是要自己编小提琴合奏的部分！间中是被reject了好几次，也改了好多次，偶尔还会有点想放弃的感觉，不过最终编出来的东西大家都蛮满意。
歌曲编好了，却没有时间一起练习，所以大家都是各练各的。表演的前几天，忙碌的蔡同学也只有一个小时的时间和我练习，而第二次练习就是当天的彩排。
不过这是一个很好的考验，让我们把这首重新编曲的梦不落帝国，以小提琴合奏秀给大家！大家觉得如何呢？

A successful performance for the Merdeka Eve Countdown show with Evan Yo on 30th of August. Thank you Evan for joinning me in this Violin Duel Battle performance.
It’s not easy to get a chance to work together again, so I really think that we shouldn’t just sing, since we love music so much, we should have an instrumental jamming session.
At first we thought wanna play piano and guitar, but combination seems to be more suitable for slow song, and bringing piano and guitar on stage it’s quite troublesome too. So we decided to play something “small”, violin.
After decided the instruments, the most heacached part is to create the violin duet part. It’s been rejected for a few times, and I’ve rearranged it again and again, till I almost gave up. But finally I’ve made it and everybody was quite happy with it.
The music arranging was done, but we got no time to practice together. Few days before the show, Evan was busy with his schedule, and he could only have 1 hour to practice with me, then on the day itself for the second practice.
But it was a great challenge for the both of us to perform the song. So, what do you think?

Aunty Matchbox called me on Merdeka morning and told me excitedly about how u stole the show. haha Evan was there I was told….
I couldnt help but smile.. haha just like about 2 weeks ago, I was discussing with her, and I was lamenting, when will u be showcasing your musical talent for all to see. we thought about piano… haha then we both laughed. Finally, we agree, u shld play violin.

Thank you for sharing the process… all people saw was the flash of briliance on the stage, but people rarely realise that you have to put in a lot of effort to entertain us. But then again, hard work is ok.. Nobody dies from hard work… we only perish when we lose hope and have no dreams.
Keep on dreaming… success begins with that.

hey Daniel! That was totally awesome! When i read about this news, really can’t imagine that was LIVE, am sooooo wanted to see the live violin jamming of you. Hopefully there’s someone recorded of this.
Still remembered when i was in secondary, i was sooo curious about my friend’s violin and i tried to pick it up and play.. “kee koo kee koo” sound, for me that was NOT easy to learn violin for just 1 day.. hahahaha! But guitar you can learn the technique easily!!
Good try for the 1st try Violin performance! Keep it up! Looking forward the real LIVE again… Cheers!

Oh yea Dan. Wanted to attend the countdown actually but doctor said I’m not allowed to go to any crowded places yet. After that planned to go for sound check but raining heavily. Too bda, can’t see your performance and crossover with Evan. By the way, you looked great standing between Will and Evan (From 8864 news. While singing the “Jalur Gemilang”). handsome and cute. Daniel，当天的演出真的很赞，尤其是与蔡旻佑飚琴与飚歌的部分让现场的气氛再次炒热起来。一直以来都盼望能看到你以拉小提琴、弹钢琴，当然也少不了弹吉它的方式来演绎歌曲，终于能在当晚能亲眼看见你们俩在舞台上那精彩的表演，心里那份喜悦是难以形容的，只能说非常值得。。。呵呵！
P/S：嗯。。。希望有机会能看到你在舞台上以弹钢琴的方式来呈现表演咯！嘿嘿！:P

Dear Daniel,
I didn’t see you and Evan perform. But anyhow, my instinct tells me it was great. I know you’ll be awesome playing the violin. And I’m sure the audience melted watching you perform (Pinkies especially! Haha..)
Anyway, great results come from hard work. You did a lot to entertain us and we really appreciate it! Keep doing what you’re doing. Continue your passion. And we shall continue supporting you here!
