《愛國99原創運動》日前正如火如荼地進行著，這項中文愛國歌曲創作收集大行動，

為了讓更多來自全馬各地的創作歌手可以參與其盛，主辦單局將征招行動的截止日期延至8月9日。
參賽者可以以個人或不超過8人的組合參與，之後你可以將作品錄制成DEMO，

Ah Nui, Yu Heng, Lim Yee Chung and Daniel Lee Chee Hun were the 1st batch of artistes confirmed taking part in Concert in conjuntion with "AiFM Patriotic Song Writing Competition". Their participation has added much glamour to the event.

Spearheaded by Ministry of Information, organized by RTM AiFM and supported by Yu Xie and Mobimusic, the event will be held on the 9th of September, 2006, 7 PM at Esplanade, Penang. Many of Malaysia’s renowned Chinese Artistes will be taking part in this mega event as part of the 49th National Day Celebration.

Besides the above 4 artistes, the organizing committee is actively soliciting other local artistes to take part in the event. Who else will be participating in the Concert in conjuntion with "AiFM Patriotic Song Writing Competition"? Please keep a look out for our subsequent news release.

Calling All Singers-Song Writers

"AiFM Patriotic Song Writing Competition" is progressing at full speed. The movement to collect Chinese Patriotic songs is one of the major events held in conjunction with the 49th National Day celebration. In order to encourage more singers-songwriters to participate in the event, the closing date for submission of Chinese Patriotic songs has been extended to the 9th of August. Contestant/contestants can compete as individual or in a group of 8. DEMO tape can be mailed to Ai FM, RTM, Peti Surat 11272, 50740 Kuala Lumpur. TRANSPORT
Question: will we be chartering a bus to take KL pinkies to Penang???
Answer: Dont know yet. It will depend on (1) number of KL pinkies going who need transport; and (2) whether security of the pinkies travelling on the bus can be taken care of.

Question: how are we going there??
Answer: Some of us intend to drive. We may start early from KL and make a hor fun stopover at Ipoh.

PINKIE CORNER
Question: Will we have a pinkie corner??
Answer: We have requested sonybmg to assist us to get a pinkie corner. However, there is no gurantee. In any case, whether or not we have a pinkie corner, should not dampen our spirit or desire to turn up at the event. Daniel will be battling it out on stage with the likes of LYC, but pinkies must be Daniel's ground troop to give him our full support.


ACCOMODATION
Question: Are we staying overnite???
Answer: As this is a saturday, so some of us intend to stay the nite. Nearer to the time we will post information about which hotel we are staying.

Question: what do we wear??

The KL entourage will leave for Ipoh at around 7.30 AM and is expected to arrive at Ipoh old town at 9.30 AM.

We will be making a stop at IpohOldTown, to have our hor fun breakfast. Ipoh pinkies are welcome to join us if u wish.

Mr Wong has given me directions on how to get to the restaurant (Tin Jun or lovingly referred to as 'house of mirrors' by the locals.)


DIRECTION TO IPOH OLD TOWN


Exit NKVE at SIMPANG PULAI toll plaza.
After exiting, u will reach a junction, turn right to head towards Ipoh
U will pass the SAM POH TUNG (CAVE) on the right, and come to a set of traffic lights; GO STRAIGHT.
KEEP LEFT after u pass the traffic light; U will get onto a viaduct; Keeping LEFT will lead to the KAMPAR ROAD exit.
You are now on KAMPAR ROAD, keep STRAIGHT;
U will come to the 1st set of roundabout (landmark: chinese temple on the left), make a 1 o'oclock turn;
U will come to a 2nd roundabout (this is smaller and hve a water fountain or something). Keep straight (12 o'clock).
This will take u to a junction where the road leads to HUGH LOW STREET. At the traffic light, TURN LEFT. {u shld see some goldsmith shops along this road after u made the left turn}
Keep going straight, u will pass a LARGE RECREATION LANDSCAPE PARK on the LEFT. On your RIGHT are old shophouses.
Turn RIGHT (immediately after passing PARK), go straight and look for a car park. HOR FUN is waiting for us at a small shop on the right.I think STEP 10 is a bit ambiguous... :blushing: however, have no fear, I expect to be there to guide you. (no doubt I am not that familiar, but as in the kingdom of the visually impaired, even a one-eye jack is KING!!! :tongue0020: )

I think Lynne05 will join us at the restaurant. She will guide us on how to rejoin the NKVE to continue our journey to Penang.

WE (Joanne, tehteh, juyen, cuddly n me) arrived at Gurney Hotel at 2.15pm to meet all KL pinkies. When we waiting for the lift, we saw GAry Chao GE. Haha, we are not allow to same lif lift with him so we took another. We saw our vice prime minister also, Najib Tun Razak.Once we go into the room, Wow, Kl pinkies all there. So we started with do our handprint on daniel's large poster!!:001_wub: :001_wub: So nice!!!

After the meet, cuddly n juyen started drive to explanade to reserve place n joanne, tehteh n me went to get some foods at mc d. On the way, we saw Gary, oh god!!!! HE was walking by. Oh no, so we decide to turn back n looking for him. Oh yea, finally!! We ask to getting personal pic. Wow, so lucky!!

Juz approached him & he’s really very Sportin’ & accept our request !! Can’t b’lieve it ,really….! So frenly of him, though he looks abit “COOL”, but in fact, is a “Superman” 2 us, Hahaaah :thumbup1: :thumbup: !!

When we arrived there ~ Esplanade Field, it was indeed abit “Chilly wind” & Hot direct sunlight! But, this never turn down ~ Penang Pinkies’ D’terminat’n 2 Conquer tat “Small Territory” ~ as wat I called, hopefully, later on KL Pinkies ‘ll espand it! But, there’s 2 frenly fans of “Nicholas Teo”, as they introduced ‘emselves 2 us! He Said there R Penny’s, GaRY Cao Ge’s Fans as our “Neighbourhood”!! WE (Joanne, tehteh, juyen, cuddly n me) arrived at Gurney Hotel at 2.15pm to meet all KL pinkies. When we waiting for the lift, we saw GAry Chao GE. Haha, we are not allow to same lif lift with him so we took another. We saw our vice prime minister also, Najib Tun Razak.Once we go into the room, Wow, Kl pinkies all there. So we started with do our handprint on daniel's large poster!!:001_wub: :001_wub: So nice!!!

After the meet, cuddly n juyen started drive to explanade to reserve place n joanne, tehteh n me went to get some foods at mc d. On the way, we saw Gary, oh god!!!! HE was walking by. Oh no, so we decide to turn back n looking for him. Oh yea, finally!! We ask to getting personal pic. Wow, so lucky!!

Ok, finally after that we go Mc D n straight to Esplanade. Wow wow, a few of penang pinkies were there - Apple, laypeng, hui san, juyen n cuddly were there. At that time - 3.45pm, Lim Yu Zhong was still rehearsing her "kao Ann" and then the rehearse session was end.

Finally daniel arrived on stage when NEGARAKU aired. Daniel was wearing the purple colour T!!! hehe, album debut T!! Nice one, he look so fresh on that night!!

After that, all artists leave the stage and dancers are performing. wow, they are wearing so sexy!!
