Hi all~
I watched this Korean drama lately and i want to share with al drama's fans
I heard my fren said this drama already shown in Astro.Btw ,this is a very nice drama with the attractiveness of Dennis Oh(for to me)..Even Chinese website i search give Dennis a "title"~The most handsome actor ever in Korean drama~Sweet Spy.

Title: The Sweet Spy
Starring: Nam Sang-mi,Dennis Joseph O'Neil （Dennis Oh), Lee Joo Hyun and Yoo Sun.
Just a gist: Nam Sang-mi plays spunky police officer Lee Sun-ae, who's also a widow(currently her codename's Koala. you should hear how she spoke 'Koala'. Hilarious!!).
Lee Ju-hyeon plays Kang Jun, who's recently transferred to Sun-ae's station. He's Sun-ae's superior too.
Dennis plays Yoo-il, a spy(millionaire??) who stole the pen in ep 01.He speaks English and Japanese, and seems to understand Korean. A mysterious guy, to sum it off.
Because of a Top secret information kept in a ball pen that could shake the world's politics ,Sun-ae bump into Spy world accidentally and falling in love with Yoo-il..Yoo-il's a commercial spy in fact..

This is the gist from a korean drama fans,Tiffany in Kimichiland
Gist of the story:
Han Yoo Il is a commercial spy. After stealing a pen that contains important information that could shake the world's politics, he lost it to a Lee Soon Ae, a traffic policewoman. The rest of the story involves him trying all ways and means to get the pen back. Of course, in the midst of it all, he fell in love with the slightly dotty and naive Soon Ae. Coincidentally, this is sort of related to Soon Ae's husband, a policeman who died 2 years earlier whilst investigating a case. And oh, I mustn't forget to add that the rather cool detective Lee Joo Hyun, who likes Soon Ae too.

Throw in the CIA, the Japanese yakuzi, South Korean politics and Chinese government, I can only say that it got rather confusing.

Frankly speaking, with such an unsual storyline, it could have turned out much better. And some parts are rather interesting. Unfortunately, it just didn't work out well enough. Corny lines, uttered by the super cool, super efficient spy, Dennis O didn't helped either.

"Because it's what my heart tells me to do." Aiyoh..... Maybe it's the way he said it...ok, ok, he's a newbie. I should be more forgiving.

And I really could strangle Nam Sang Mi. The way she goes about interogating her suspects and her clueless character frustrates me at times.

However, the character that really puzzles me is Dennis O's assistant/ father figure. He is actually a veteran actor but I don't understand why they would want to make a monkey out of him, with his frequent sommersaults? Even in his own house! From the hall to the kitchen. Why????

Ok, before you think this is totally not worth watching, it is actually not that bad. Well, at least, nobody dies or loses his memory here. Seriously, except for the middle part, the rest are watchable and it got more interesting in the last 4 episodes.

And if nothing else, you can always watch the drama for him...

Tiffany in Kimichiland's opinion is special:
I think this is a very interesting drama and the story is a bit suspicious!Perhaps i just rely on the subtitled and can't understand Korean and somehow don't rather know what's the secret inside of the pen and countries involved in the Spy.This pen may cause even a war between North Korea and South Korea. The "interpol" America act as usual,World's police..whatever, but feel sorry for the last episode..totally out of my expectation..get shocked..
Watchable drama instead,especially the "flirt" Han Joo Il.
The lead actor Dennis Oh is the most handsome guy i ever seen in the world...tell me why thr's such handsome guy in the world?????

the ending actually left me hanging lah...
when i searched the internet for the ending, then i came to know that what i see is indeed the ending. And i was thinking i missed the ending chapter. :laugh:

There was lots of talks on the forum about the show, they said the show was abruptly ended because they wanted to make way for another drama...
dunno lah.. i hope got part 2, so that i can see them together again.

yes, dennis is a yummy to watch... :thumbup: the inspector also handsome.. haha
halfway through the drama, i liked both of them... haha ( very greedy )
i really hope got part2.. so that can see some loving romantic time between the two of them...

Dennis said he will has a new up coming drama series in my frenster msg(i asked him)May it be sweet spy 2??no idea.i think dennis carried well in his role..fully showed the role in sweet spy,a handsome spy who doesn't know about korean and fall in love with this korean woman,dunno..ya..i like the suspend drama sweet spy..dennis official website all writen in korean,haha..i can't undertsand.

Quite disappointed Sweet Spy not going to have part 2....
