I need your opinions on matters involving the censorship of movies in Malaysia for my upcoming English Research Project. Thanks for dropping by and I really hope that you would be able to leave your two cents and opinions regarding the following questions.

1) Are you aware that there are movies(both local and foreign) banned in Malaysia? If so, what were the titles of the banned movies?
2) Are you aware that there are censorship on local and foreign movies are being practised in Malaysia?
3) Do you know of any movie(both local and foreign) that has fallen victim to the Film Censorship Board of Malaysia?
4) If so, does that deter you from watching the particular movie?
5) Is censorship on movies being practised rationally in Malaysia? Please state the reason(s) for your answer (eg. inconsistency, inadequate utilization of current authorization?)
6) Do you think that banning or censoring movies(both local and foreign) will leave a negative impact on the citizens of Malaysia? If possible, please elaborate.

Any points/thoughts/comments regarding the topic of whether censorship on movies is being practised rationally in Malaysia is welcomed.

Thanks again for the feedback.

No. What are the use of movie grading when the existing scenes being censored ? Some simple kissing scene also seems too offensive in the eyes of our censorship board.

Yes. Malaysians are being shortchanged for the whole movie process. Its like watching a process of preparing a dinner minus some of the important recipe.
To watch a complete movie, better go oversea's cinema. :chinscratch:
