Hi pinkies...i can't say i'm a pro or what...but i can help in karangan...
so any topics..(plz don't post your karangan tajuk and ask me to do la)...i will do my very best to help...i just finish form 6 and BM is my strongest subject...so i thought, probably i could help...

This is what my teacher taught us those days...

U must have an introduction
a body content and
a closing

a few samples of karangan over in this thead would be a good start.
to get a better understanding of the above...

karangan..i am.not so good also la..hehe...but..i just know the mathod that how 2 improve our essay o karangan...my mother always told me.."knowledge is powerful..."...u must read newspapper..magazine..novels..2 imporove your language.....tat mean must read more lo..(just like uncle idolhunter said..i agree with him...:):)

My BM is among my best subject..cuz language sub ma..nonit study one..haha...i malas ler..:tongue_smilie: ..n pls...dun ask me bout lisan..cuz teacher alwiz complain..."Ping Ping cakap Bahasa Melayu ada slang Cina..tapi masa exam,boleh skor..cikgu pun terkejut."So i guess u all noe how terrible it is when i speak in malay..totally sound like a chinese..cis...but..well..i dare to speak ma...keke..

ok...a few tips...don't gif up on sastera and tatabahasa..itz ok if u dunno the 6 words for bina ayat tht they r giving...sastera n tatabahasa*excluding the 6 words* is the part u can score..n I mean really score....dun gif up on ur peribahasa oso...itz very useful..read more peribahasa*i love peribahasa..so i can answer it most of the time*

Karangan is very important,but sometimes,we kenot get high marks cuz our word not powerful enuf or isi tak cukup...so make sure u dun mess wif ur paper two...rumusan all muz try to get higher marks...

den when it comes to karangan,write more than 7 points if u can...juz in case some of it u got it wrong..this is for question 2 lar....make sure u r familiar wif the formats..cuz tak berbaloi u lose tht two or 3 marks...try to aim for formated essay...dun alwiz aim for karangan fakta..cuz my teacher say,if karangan fakta,they want the points dari segi sosial,ekonomi,politik n stuff..so very hard to aim...if got letter one..kinda ez..so read more karangan contoh...get the ideas n points...however,make sure u pick the ques u best at lar...if noe bout tht certain topic very well,den u can try fakta..if not,aim to other topics...u wanna get marks,not to satisfy urself...

den question one...dis one,do it in 5 paragraph lor..bout 3 or 4 isi lar...make sure u explain each picture n do not gif too much examples..dis one,try to minimize wat u hv lar..i not sure if they will still count ur words,but b careful lor...juz write wateva u tink is neccessary..dun crap too much lor..plus,u dun wanna waste time on dis ques cuz this ques carries less marks than question two...dis one,make it simple n padat can d...

no certain methods lar...if ur isi can b more than 7,very easily u can write more than tht d...juz write wateva u can think of lar...examples,huraian..all write long long lor..can add in a few peribahasa,cogan kata,quotes n stuff...it'll make ur karangan longer n nicer to read...but make sure the peribahasa all in the correct place lar..means u muz b very sure wif the peribahasa u writing lar..dun cin cai letak..will lose marks one..tht's y itz important to noe a few peribahasa by heart...:thumbup1: :thumbup:

juz write ikut ur hati lor...more idea ma write longer lor..make sure u hurai longer den can d...but dun beat around the bush lar..talk so long ni masuk main point,den they'll not gif high marks oso...straight to the point..but explains further...

aim for ques tht u noe more isi..read more karangan contoh...really one..karangan contoh can help a lot..u juz take a small book,after u read d,u write out again the title n the isi given...den last minute revision time,juz read the title n the isi...sure can score one...trust me,BM is not a scary subject..dun b scared...language subject easiest to score one..ok???:thumbup1: :thumbup:

for karangan most important thing is u need to read more story books so that u will have more ideas to write and newspapers like Utusan or berita harian to improve ur language. but if for pmr level is not tat strict the marking level. spm must write bout 600 words. pmr only bout 200 or less..=)

think about this way. you got 6 perenggan to write. each perenggan make sure you write up to 100 words. then, i'm sure you'll be able to reach 600.
what i learnt was, every week without fail my tuition teacher gave us a karangan to write. a year we wrote up to 30 essays. rumusan every 2 weeks.
you can do this on your own. even no one is marking the paper, you are practicing to think and to apply.

my styles for karangan

- opening/ introduction
- body ( at least one points for each perenggan, so it will usually have 3-4 perenggan

- closing

and we have to use,

tatabahasa, bunga bahasa

always reads up the malay paper, and malay literatures. Write down those 'bunga bahasa' , it helps you to score more points.

my BM is always ok .. actually it's not very good , but just dunno why i scored almost the highest in my class everytime .. it's bcoz my essay part got a very high marks ..

My tatabahasa part is always lowest .. the peribahasa part always blank ..
ping ping , u're so geng larrr.. i cant memorize the peribahasa always .. just crapping in that part always.. lol ..

In karangan part, i usually choose fakta essay .. it's easily for me .. n u hv more things to write ..
Usually, there'll be

-Introduction ( definisi of the tittle , eleborate it , give an example )
-Isi ( usually i'll write 6 or 7 pointss .. so it'll be 6 or 7 paragraph for isi , each point should hv 2 eleborations , examples )
-Closing ( this's important .. u should conclude all the things .. write ur hope , or what action should be taken )

that's just what i did everytime .. i nvr try to write a narrative essay in BM.. coz i dunno how to describe things in BM .. hee ..

Anyway, choose the one that u think that u can write it well .. n do ur best .. remember to write rangka or do some plannings b4 u start writing .. this's IMPORTANT .. plan the time u need to write the whole essay .. dun be panic ..

peribahasa is very useful..have a handful in mind...n oso some cogan kata..it helps in essay n oso the tatabahasa part...u can use this two things...really one...juz learn it for fun...i enjoyed it..so i can remember..

for essay..as i said..i very rare write fakta..if surat can write..cuz if fakta..my teacher wants from the sosial point of view,ekonomi and oso politik...tht one i kenot lar...so i usually try to find a easier one...

my karangan got average marks ni..cuz my BM in karangan is rather erm not so good..but my tatabahasa is enuf to pull me up...totally opposite from mint mint..

i think i can help in form 5's bm... my result also boleh tahan.... so bout karangan, i think the most important thing to do is talk more in bm and practice ur tatabahasa and those peribahasa thing... then i think it wouldn't be a problem...

most of the people can talk in bm but there's slang in their talking... so the best way to 'get rid' of the slang is talk more in bm... dats the only way.... another thing is ur bahasa must also be very powerful... the way u write ur sentence must be straight forward and padat dengan idea... dats wat my teacher ask us to do... do not bring them walk around in taman.... wait the pemeriksa will get tired of reading ur karangan... make ur karangan be as interesting as possible... if ur karangan is about fakta, then u must read a lot to know a plenty of knowledge... and if it's in cerita, then be creative and write something different from wat u always read from ur revision book....
so good luck in ur karangans.....

2.Pastikan tajuk karangan yang menjadi pilihan, tajuk yang benar-benar difahami dan dikuasai.
3.berhati-hati dalam penggunaan bahasa agar bahasa yang digunakan sentiasa tepat dan gramatis.
4.Pilih penanda wacana yang sesuai untuk menunjukkan kesinambungan karangan.
5.Pastikan peribahasa yang digunakan sesuai dan faham akan makna serta penggunaannya.
6.Merujuk KAMUS DEWAN untuk kepastian ejaan.

Buy lots of contoh karangan books, and copy the karangans.. over and over and over again...

My sister told me this... as in, this is the technique used by her daughter's BM tuition teacher. Proven effective, I hve been told as well...

Reading a malay novel or story is good... but when u write it many times over, you catch the flow of the language, pick up the main points, and hopefully, also picked up some useful phrases or proverbs or idioms...

My colleague's son also does the same thing, and his karangan is also very good...

evonne...u can try to check with other frenz,do lots of latihan..if u kenot do all alone,make a group with frenz..one ppl do 5 a week..then u compare all the answers...there are some that alwiz appear one...then memorize those...but of course others kenot dun read la...but usually the one more common one will come out...u learn with interest...itz fun learning this...i'll try to put up a few more common ones and remember it by heart...sure can one...
