1. He is 27.
2. He is from Sarawak.
3. He studied in UM. Then he went over to Singapore. He stayed with Ah-Do and JJ before. Then he went to Taiwan 2 years ago. He wrote quite a number of songs. I'm not very sure he wrote for who, but according to 8864 the other day, there was one song he wrote to Tao Ching Ying (Momoko). I think his career actually started in Spore.

he joined a composing club (chuang zuo fang) in UM, that was when he started to compose. he wrote songs for Tao jing ying, Ah-du, JJ Lin, Jordan Chan...

i din see him in 15/4 but i saw him in Halo Cafe,Sunway during his promo tour.when i looked at his album,i feel his look not so good but the songs are nice,even my mum also like his songs.after seeing him in Halo Cafe,i totally believe that 1 person can look different from real ppl and photo.his real ppl quite leng chai.:thumbup: i remember that my housemate dunno him before accompany me go Halo Cafe,but after that,she also like his songs alr,she almost everyday play his songs now..:laugh:

she was with her family & everyone was in pink. alot of 'sesat' pinkies ..

Showcase

it was a good showcase. the reviews came out in all the chinese papers on
monday with nice pics. Guang Min's pic is the best! accordg to the
reports, LYChung sang abt 10 songs.

the set up was interesting. there were 2 stages - the main stage and a
smaller one in the middle of the hall for the unplugged segment. the
smaller stage is supposed to be his 'room'.

the downside was when he was in his 'room', those in front had to watch the screen.

the visual on the barco screen was crystal clear. sound system during the
singing is good but when he speaks, it was a little noisy tho.

The Singer

Oh yes, not a bad looking fella.

U know wat was missing from the cover of his album? The secret weapon -
his smile!!

he has a v nice smile - dazzling, mesmerising, hypnotizing etc etc ..until
today, somebody still sees his smiling face in the morning when she opens
her eyes :laugh: (no, not me-lah, becz i got an antidote -- sam soon's bf,
jin hyeon/hyun bin :laugh: )

auntybagus -- u r spot on. this fella is a chatterbox - can talk until the
cows come home :laugh:

as usual during the unplugged segment, the singer wud say something b4
going into the song.

But i think LYC's intro must hv been one of the longest i've ever heard.

if i didnt know that he studied microbiology, i wud hv tot that he majored in philosophy :laugh: ..... unfortunately, i cud only u/stand abt 30% of wat he said. his mandarin too difficult for this banana..:confused:

but i managed to catch some good bits, that is if i had understood it
correctly :laugh:

He has a good voice and good vocal control too. very soothing. during the
unplugged segment, he did Ah Do's song 'xia xue' (snowing) - aiyo, lum
sei-lor .. his version was brilliant :thumbup:

btw, Ah Do & him r good friends. Ah Do helped him alot. he actually told
the audience to support Ah Do ... wat a nice chap!

He also covered an english classic - IF by Bread.

He like the song becz it reminded him of the time when he was in loved esp at the beginning stage of the relationship -- to love and to be loved .... aduh, so romantic! :blush:

(y his ex-gfs dun want him-lah?? wat were they thinking ..haha.. maybe be he too loh soh .. :laugh: .. oh, he 'shi lian' twice already. i think one of the ex was during his MU days).

after he finished IF, he said - 'hen hao ting, hoh' ... everyone laughed.
i think wat he meant was the song is good. but it came across to us
like he was praising himself ... funny fella :laugh: .

Audience

he was very at ease with the crowd. i think it was during the second song, he suddenly decided to go down to shake hands with those sitting in front. like usual, everyone surged forward. He did this like 3 or 4 times thru'out the show. he certainly kept the security guys v busy tat nite.

one girl wanted to give him a bouquet while he was singing. he gestured
her to go up the stage. the moment he took the flowers, the girl lunged
forward to hug him ... everyone screamed and shouted in delight .. lucky
girl, LYChung put his arm around her ... bet she cant sleep for the next
few days ...:laugh:

Autograph Session

the evening ended with the signing session. The q was long, stretching from the stage to almost the main door. but it moved quickly.

LYChung is the most slow and steady artiste i hv ever seen .. :laugh: :laugh:
seriously. he carefully finished off the last stroke of his signature. put
down the pen, raised his head to look at the fan, stretched out his hand.
Breaks into a lovely lovely smile and said the warmest 'xie xie' with a

yes, his music grows on u. It gets better each time u listen to it.

i was flippin thru the inlay and saw something interesting. In 'Kao An',
one of the instrument was gambus. isnt that a traditional malay 'guitar'?

one of the musicians in this album is Jamie Wilson. i think this is the
same Jamie Wilson who played guitar in WLHom and DTao concerts. the blonde hair dude.

during the showcase - b4 the show started, they played his mvs.

i like the swimming pool mv (i think it was shi lian xue).
it was like watching a mini movie :thumbup: This is wat an mv sud do for the viewers-lah ... :laugh:
(implying something?? :laugh: :laugh: yes, but directed at the company not the singer :D )

For someone who was topless (briefly-lah) in 2 of the mvs, LYChung is actually kinda of shy :laugh:

During the Q & A in his 'room', Phoebe (myfm dj) asked him - does he sleep in
his birthday suit? With a straight face, he said No. In shorts. he hands
indicated the length of bermuda shorts :D :D

Phoebe: wat if the weather is hot? LYC: switch on air-con and wear a t.

Phoebe: wat if one day u come home and found a lady on yr bed? Pause
(u can hear a pin drop in the hall). 'Bu ke nen de shi '... everyone laughed.

Phoebe turned to the audience and said 'do u all realise that thru out the

actually, i think he looks a little bit like Fujiki Naohito ( or is it naohito fujiki???) , a japanese actor/singer - Love Revolution, Antique ... Fujiki is slightly older.

i went to Yee Chung's showcase, it was such a wonderful nite! And i got to shake his hands 4 times! (break my record!)
I'm so touched by the way he treats his fans. like wat fish jie mentioned, he seemed to be enjoying when he sign! :laugh: I managed to speak a sentence to him.. "hope u hv a good rest"... coz i noticed him quite tired. then he responded with another "xie xie! xie xie!" Gosh... ::MELTZ!!!::

it might be that his fans r quite obedient, coz there weren't any rush at all on stage, and the staff weren't rushing the fans to go off stage. so it was a very pleasant event indeed, the best of showcases i've been to 9up till now)!!

I thought I can wait for a few days before writing the review..
But I can't keep my mind away from him :tongue0001:

I reached Sunway Pyramid about 4pm..I met up with Sevvy (she's working in Zen Japanese Restaurant)..but she had to get back to work at 6pm..

So, met up with Alison in Halo cafe at about 7.30pm. Winners of radio and magazine contest get to go into the cafe first. The cafe workers told us they will open the place for public at about 8pm. So, Alison and me stood outside the cafe and waited. We were the first 2 to line up, behind us, there were about 10 people.

While waiting, we chatted and suddenly we saw LYZ came out from the cafe, walking with a group of people, Pheobe was one of them. Seriously, he's a very simple guy. You may think he's one of those cafe customers. Because I am too crazy of him, I recognized him :tongue0011: Imagine he just walked pass you :001_tt1: And we kept on looking him from his back. If he was Daniel, you guys will know what will happen.. Pinkies will surely rush to him :tongue0011:

Woh, he looked good even from the back. He's quite muscular :thumbup: Then, he "disappear". Alison and me continued talking. Then when I was mentionning his name, he walked passed us again, came back from don't know where :tongue_smilie:

So, we got our seats, a table for 4, but only two of us occupied the table. After awhile, I spotted Fish and Fanny outside the cafe. I asked them to join us. They don't want at first, then I asked the cafe worker. He said cannot at first, cos we actually book seats for two. After bla bla bla for awhile, he said ok :thumbup:

So, Fish, Fanny, Alison and Soursand in the house. All of us wore green (coincidently) except Fanny, maybe because she was our tai kah cheh, cause that night as she paid the bill :laugh: Thank you, Fanny jie.

Pheobe came on the stage at about 8.15pm. She sang a little of "Kau An". Then, LYZ came out :001_tt1: I can't remember the title of all the songs that they duet. LYZ was with the guitar the whole night. And I don't know why, almost after every song, he will shake his guitar while saying "thank you" :laugh:

Here are a list of the songs LYZ/both of them sang:-
Kau An, Gong Di Bei, Ye Ku Guo (these are his songs) :thumbup1:

LYZ's "theme" song, IF - that's his love song :thumbup1: (he told us the story behind this song; he sang to his ex-gf when he was in UM's hostel, the gal was studying and he sat there playing the song with his guitar and he sang for her :001_tt1: . I wonder the gal actually regreted leaving him? or is it the other way round? haha.. heaven knows)
One of Ah-Do's song, "Xia Xue", it was written by LYZ
A song by Chan Hiew Tong, which LYZ sang 6 years ago in UM
Pheobe sang a song that she wrote. It was LYZ that encourage her to sing it :thumbup1: LYZ kept on praising her singing talent. He said, if Pheobe were to 'throw' this song to the market (not the fish market please), sure can sell

They joked, they talked. And I see a lot of similiarities between them. LYZ said he likes 'cool' gals and he described Pheobe as a 'cool' gal when he first saw her in My.FM. And many people said LYZ is a 'cool' guy if you first met him. So, both of them 'chan' hor?

LYZ also told us how his dad influenced his siblings and him in singing. His dad will only sings in two places; in the car and bathroom. He sang one Mandarin children song, and coincidently, Pheobe knew the song, too. They sang part of the songs together.

Oh, yeah. Pheobe even said she went over to his room, sat on his bed, discussing and pratice singing, preparing for that night. Aiks..make so many people jealous :tongue_smilie: She said it was LYZ that encourage her to sing after so many years (She used to sing in the cafe).

I think they make a cute couple. Wish both of them all the best :thumbup1:

The show finished at about 9.45pm. Imagine 1 1/2 hours singing ang talking without a glass of water. Terror la both of them.

Oh, yes. For your info, Daniel's ex-PA, the one who looks like Kai Ying, is now LYZ's PA. We spotted her walking towards a van, carrying the gifts that the fans gave to LYZ. We quickly line up and wait for him to walk to the van. :001_tt1: He walked out at last, I was so nervous. I wanted to take out my hand, hoping to get a hand-shake from him. But I saw him walking quite fast towards us. So, I just waved at him . Ah.... :001_tt1:

Mana tau he shook hand with a few people after us :glare: We managed to see him walked towards the van, saw him went into the van, and zoom off... :huh:

I didn't have a camera with me. Fanny has, but she said no use la take his pic, cos he is not photogenic. She looked back at those pic she took in PGRM last week, not nice :thumbdown: I think there are a few which turn out nice. Just wait and see whether she'll post up or not.. haha..

Our fave number for the evening was the unplugged version of Gong Ti Bei – simply excellent! Love the way he played the guitar. Wonderful!

:thumbup: I like the part he used his right palm to hit the guitar during Gong Ti Bei chorus part.

Talking abt guitar – both he and Daniel play in similar fashion. Hope they got to know each other during aifm show and perhaps one day, they both can perform together.

More on LYZ in Genting

It was 5pm & we were in our room – YLHong had started. we watched the beginning and was going to switch off the tv and leave when the hosts said YLZ wud be there in a moment.

What! Aiyoh, macam mana! Pinkies were supposed to meet at 5.30pm and YLZ will be on tv. Something had to give. Our dinner ..:laugh: :laugh: … immediately after the part on YLZ ended, we raced downstairs. Phew! Luckily the gates have not opened yet.

(YLH – hope u guys caught it. He was made to wear a few Bermuda shorts and managed to put on abt 9 pairs. His bum was v big by then. He was playful – shook his booty infront of the camera. after he put on the first pair of shorts, he lifted his t-shirt up and wow! Flat stomach, man!! :D )


Aifm show

We didn’t expect LYZ to perform first. He started with kao ann and during his performance, he already got 4 big bouquets. Everyone who gave him flowers got to hug him – tak kira boy or girl. That pretty much set the precedent for the evening …

When he sang Gong Ti Bei – he changed the chorus to ‘ .. something, something AIFM’ (sorry, ne I hv no idea wat were the first few words) and got the audience to sing along. (During pgrm, he changed this part to ‘Ji Long Poh’..)

If he was nervous, it didn’t show.

he didnt come out again until the finale. and when he did, he looked kinda of lost too. I think he was a guest performer that nite and wasn’t part of the evening’s fixed programme. it cud hv been a case of 'if he is available to perform, he go first. hence, even if he is not available, it wud not disrupt the programme' .. that's just my guess.

Anway, after the last song, all the artistes had a group photo. Even then, there were still fans who went up the stage to give him bouquet of flowers until his hands were full!!

One of the bouquets were actually made of ferraro roche chocolate!! We saw someone holding it earlier and tot tat was probably for Yu Hen … wow! I wonder how many dozens of ferraro roche were used.

During the group photo, both fanny and i went to the front to join the cameramen , no-lah not to take pics but to get a good glimpse of the leng zai.

LYZ was on the far rite and Daniel on the far left – wah! Our heads were turning left, rite, left, rite …:laugh: luckily Daniel moved closer to the middle – much easier for us … but sorry guys, fanny didn’t take any pics – she simply wanted to savour the moment! :laugh:

After the show, we didn’t leave immediately. We hung around on the left side of the hall where we saw a van earlier .. … ya-lor - wanted to pok yat pok .. if we cud catch any stars.

a few mins later, we saw one of LYZ PAs … walking out from behind the stage .. both fanny and I got excited – “his PA, his PA” … that means LYZ is still around … yippee!! true enough, he walked out smiling … everyone was calling his name … there were not many people, hence everyone had good view.

one girl gave him yet another bouquet. She even took photo with him … aargh … we cud only drool at the handsome face … :laugh: .. luckily, the President of DFC had already left the hall … these few pinkies in the pinkie tees some more – were calling Lin Yu Zhung , Lin Yu Zhung … :blushing:

After he left, we still hung around. The security guys told us Daniel sudah balik but we didn’t believe them. Then a chinese guy (he looked like the head of security) said he’ll check for us. He came out from behind the stage and told us everyone left already.

He was very funny. “Daniel Lee – the American Idol 2, is it? “ Huh?" We laughed & said “No-lah sir. Malaysian Idol 2 but thank u for making him American Idol 2” :laugh:


Washroom -- where we missed LYZ becz we were in the loo.

Stephanie, Kumiko & OiYin – who were waiting outside saw LYZ walked by. Kumiko shook his hand. They wanted to take a photo with him – but his PA said they were in a hurry. LYZ was very apologetic – he kept saying sorry before he left.

Aiyah, if I had been there – I wud have ask him – when is he leaving for TW? Anymore promo in kl .., kononlah – u c I get tongue tied when gan cheong .. :laugh: ..


Hotel Lobby

When he came out of the lift, we didn’t recognize him immediately becuz he looked different. He met a guy at the lobby and they talked a bit.

Tat bought us some time. He was wearing a brownish jacket and wore a cap. The cap was pulled quite low. And he wore black rim glasses (like Daniel’s) & the lense was shaded. It took us a few seconds before we cud make out his face and how can we not recognize the smile. The funniest part, Fanny recognized his shoes.

When he walked towards our direction, he was looking down. too late to hide-lah, we already spotted him. we called out his name and waved at him – he waved back at us and smiled. He looked kinda shy – I think becz he didn’t expect to be recognized. He was surrounded by a few guys, all around his height.

As they walked away – one of the guy said something to him and LYZ playfully pushed his arm & laughed -- we dunno wat was said --- hopefully it got nothing to do with obasan (aunties) … :laugh: :laugh: …

Well, we like to think the conversation went something like – "Wah! U look chou (ugly) with the glasses and yet the ladies still recognize u … not bad, ah” … this is just my imagination-lah ..:laugh:

yeah i watched it, there was a part of a scene, wow... his acting skills are not bad after all. though he said he's quite pressured by the whole thing, he might be taking it quite well. poor him... as he played a 'gangster' character, there are scenes where he's beaten up by people. he is having bruises and wounds... poor him! i heard tat there will continually be clips showing the progress of the drama.

Singer Lin Yu Zhong broadens his horizon and ventures into acting, writes LI EE KEE.


The Beginning marks singer Lin Yu Zhong’s first foray into acting. Wan le!” (Finished!) It was singer Lin Yu Zhong’s first reaction when he read the script for The Beginning, the first TV drama collaboration between media giants Media Prima Berhad and MediaCorp Studios Pte Ltd.

With zero acting experience or training, it was a daunting task that he had undertaken.

“Then I decided not to think too much and just do it,” said the
20-something at The Beginning press launch recently.

He was in Taiwan promoting his debut album 1st when he received a call from the producers asking if he was interested in auditioning for a part in the new TV drama. Despite having no knowledge of acting, he was game to try.

“I flew back to KL and did what I could. But honestly, I didn’t think I would get a part. I was very surprised when they offered me a role,” related the amicable Sarawakian native laughingly.

“I play a slacker who loves gambling and loafing at the wet market. He is not a bad person. In fact, he’s a naïve, optimistic, straight-talking guy, who just likes to fool around. He is also someone who places emphasis on brotherhood.”

Apart from watching VCDs for research, Lin said he relied on memories of his younger days when he followed his mum to the market to sell food, to get into character.

After a week of filming, Lin is candid about his acting ability.

“There is still much for me to learn but I believe with practice I will improve. To an extent, there are similarities between singing and acting.

“In singing you have to first understand the lyrics before you can express the song well. In acting, it’s the dialogue but you have to also express your emotions with your body language.

“For me, acting is more difficult than singing. Actors, I feel, must have tenacity. You have to be always alert, remember your lines and be in character. But it’s difficult when you are not getting enough rest.

“I wake up at around 6am and filming lasts until midnight. At times we need to review the tapes to see how we fared. I only get to sleep a couple of hours every day. And I have to get used to this for the next three months.

“I don’t know if I have the talent for this (acting) but I do want to improve myself. When I decided to take on the role it was to challenge myself and to show fans my versatility, that there is a different side to me aside from that of a singer. I hope the experience will also give me more ideas when I am composing.”

As he will be filming for the next three months, promotional work for 1st initially scheduled in Taiwan and mainland China will be put on hold.

Lin, who was a composer with Touch Music Publishing, an arm of Halo Music, before he was signed on as a singer, acknowledged that as a newcomer to the industry, he is more fortunate than most.

“Many doors have opened for me but I’m not taking things for granted. I appreciate the opportunities given to me and I intend to make full use of them,” he noted resolutely.

POOR Lin Yu Zhong. While winners of last Sunday’s Taiwan Golden Melody Awards (GMA) were busy celebrating their victory, this newly crowned GMA best newcomer has to wait until filming for The Beginning completes before he can start uncorking the champagne. The Beginning is the first TV drama collaboration between Media Prima Berhad and MediaCorp Studios Pte Ltd.

At the post-award party, Lin was kept busy with interviews with the various media.

Lin told Sinchew Daily that the win came as a surprise to him.

“It was planned that all the nominees would sit together but as the camera didn’t focus on me, I didn’t think I was going to win. So when they announced my name, I was very emotional but I don’t cry easily.”

After receiving his award, the Sarawakian immediately sent an SMS message to his family to convey the good news. He also received numerous congratulatory messages from friends such as best pal and label mate JJ Lin, who was performing in Shanghai.

“Before his show, he called and gave me words of encouragement. It really meant a lot to me.”

AT last year’s GMA, Karen Mok mispronounced Huang Li Xing’s name as Wang Li Hong (Leehom), causing Wang to run up on stage to accept the award for best Mandarin male singer. It was an embarrassing moment that has haunted Wang for a long time.

At last Sunday’s event, Mok was once again presenting the best Mandarin male singer award.

And this time, Mok got it right. Even Wang praised her. The first thing he said to Mok when he went on stage was: “You speak such accurate Mandarin!”

Later, Wang admitted to Yahoo! Hong Kong that the embarrassment from last year was still etched deep in his memory.

“When I saw Karen, that same awkward feeling returned.”

After being crowned GMA king for the second time, the overjoyed Wang, however, forgot to thank his mum in his speech. He then quickly called to thank her personally.

During the post-award party, an ecstatic Wang helped himself to the free-flowing champagne. Intoxicated, perhaps, he began talking about his former rumoured flame A-mei.

Two nights ago, he caught her show and thought it was brilliant. He sent her an SMS message telling her so. When asked if she had responded, Wang cheekily replied: “You guys can ask her yourself. Asking is the fun part.”

What about his other rumoured girlfriend Shu Qi? Did she send him any congratulatory text messages? Wang, after a long sigh, replied: “I received a lot of text messages from my friends.”

Love wins

IT was a great day for Malaysians at the 17th GMA. Lin Yu Zhong picked up best newcomer and the talented Penny Tai received recognition for her composition with the best composer award for her song Crazy Love.

In a report in China Press, Tai explained that the song was a summary of her past loves and served as a reminder to never again love like “crazy”.

“I wrote the song as a closure. But now with this award, it reminds me of my past,” she quipped.

Sarawak-born Lim Yee Chung, winner of the Best New Artiste award in Taiwan recently, is happiest singing and composing his own songs. SHARON WONG writes.

IT is every artiste’s dream of taking home an award or two that would serve to acknowledge his or her achievements in the entertainment scene. An especially meaningful award is the Best New Artiste award. The chance to receive one comes just once in the lifetime for an artiste and this year, the honour went to Malaysian newcomer Lim Yee Chung.

“It was just unbelievable!” he said of his experience at the 17th Golden Melody Awards presentation in Taiwan recently. “When they were about to announce the winner, the camera was not focused on me, so I thought I probably did not get it. When my name was announced, I just jumped up!

Lim had thought about what he would do if he won or did not win.

Since it was his first awards presentation, he decided to relax and considered himself lucky just to have been nominated.

But the truth of the matter was, his label mates apparently were more excited and nervous than he was!

“My bosses were sitting behind me and friends like A-Do and Xiao Xiao were all there to support me,” he said, revealing also that JJ, who was working in China during that time, also called to give him encouragement.

“Xiao Xiao was so excited for me that she couldn’t sleep and when I won, she cried.

“The minute my name was announced, I looked back at my bosses with joy and it was wonderful to be surrounded by such supportive people. Afterwards, I called home to share my joy with my family.”

Years before the release of his debut album, he was already signed on to Ocean Butterflies Music as a composer. At that time, he was only 21 and still in university, dabbling in songwriting just for fun but already, his talent was too bright to be ignored.

Before long, it was discovered that the man could also sing. Subsequently, he was offered a singing contract. Upon graduation, he was sent to Singapore for a year to work on music production, learning and fine-tuning his talents there as he went along.

Then, after a short break back in Malaysia, Lim went to Taiwan to immerse himself in music. Six years after being signed to a record label, he released his debut album titled 1st. On the heels of a hectic promotion schedule, he was asked to cast for the lead role in a ntv7 and MediaCorp TV series production titled The Beginning.

“I was naturally excited as it was my first time acting,” he said. Fans can watch his performance as a gangster with a heart when the 30-episode airs over ntv7 some time in October.

“Because I was in the middle of promoting my album, I didn’t get to read the script properly until two days before filming,” he recalled. “I panicked because the role has substance and depth and I thought I could not do it. I was afraid the director would scold me and my ignorance would affect the teamwork of the actors.

“I just wanted to run away but forced myself to carry on.”

But with the help of a nice director and friendly co-stars, Lim braved it and now, despite not having the time to sleep, he found it fun and said that he would definitely act again — but not when it clashes with his music career.

“Music is still my priority,” he said. “I would not be here if not for my love of music. Although acting is a happy experience, I have to focus on one thing at a time and after filming for this serial is completed, I will be working on my next album. I hope to concentrate on one thing at a time so that I may give it my best.”

And to think that he might not have gotten into the entertainment line to begin with. Lim, who hails from Kuching, Sarawak and majored in microbiology in university, had never thought about being a singer or actor.

He had more interest in jobs that offered him a change to wear a uniform, like in the army or in the police or fire department. But nothing could keep a talented man down and today, he hopes to be able to be involved in music and write songs for as long as he is able.

“Writing songs is like a hobby,” he concluded. “They don’t have to sell (but they did... to such singers as Jordan Chan, A-Do, Z-Chen, Matilda Tao, Angela Chang, Victor Wong, among others).”

His ultimate objective is, of course, to get an award in composing. In the meantime, he is quite happy absorbing everything the entertainment world has to offer.

he had a "PK" competition with JJ, where they each play each other's songs with Guitar(YC) and Keyboard (JJ). They ended the PK with a song which YC wrote for JJ. Magnificent!

Followed up, YC sang <<Kao An>> and <<Gong Ti Bei>>. while singing, he noticed some fans holding up umbrellas... cool... that seems to be his trademark now!

I first came across them by the song, "Tomorrow never knows", a dorama theme song which starred Kimura Takuya and many others. I liked it the first time I listened to it. At that time, my knowledge of Jpop was not that good, it was hard to find Jpop cds in M'sia and the internet world was not as evolved as right now so I didnt really have any chance of finding out more about them. Until ... the dorama, "Orange Days". Their song, "Sign", was used as the theme song and it was an excellent song. Ever since then, Im trying to find out as much as I can through the internet.

Im now listening to their "Shirushi" single and I like all 3 of the songs, especially "Shirushi". It has that narrative-style laid-back rock ballad song. "Shirushi" is also the theme song to the very controversial dorama "14 years old mother" / "14-sai no haha".

I also really admire their lead singer, Kazutoshi Sakurai, because he composed all the lyrics and melodies of all the Mr. Children songs (except 2 - as mentioned in the Wiki). His voice is very unique also.
