Ish, sorry for the late review... Cannot tahan la, must post review first before i sleep, if not i feel very uncomfortable...

Reached Sg wang at almost 1pm and all pinkies were already ready with their boards in their hand, grabbing the first row waiting for the event to start...

1.15 - The show started off with a few small kids, well, not very small, age ranging from 13-17 like that lar playing the chinese drums... Daniel walked past and took his seat at the VIP place, some said hie and shook hand but some didn't notice him... When he sat down, some asked 'Where's Daniel?? Where??? Where???' and we pointed 'THERE!!! He walked past you didn't see ar?' Then 3 very yau yeng dancers (2 guys and a girl) did a dance (britney spears' song)

1.30 - Jeff aka Dao Sar & Sam aka Dai Bou came out... they recognized Daniel's fans (duhh, with our pink shirts and boards). Jeff said 'We just shout Daniel's name then you'll see what happen!' then we screamed and whistled loudly of course... He continued "I think no need to scream lah, say softly Daniel also can already!" then we screamed again... then he said 'Aiyah, straight away no need to say anything lah!' Then we screamed even louder!!! Hehe! :thumbup: Daniel, i hope you're not scared of us ya...

Then Jeff & Sam invited the 988 COO on stage to give his speech... Halfway through his speech, we screamed and he said 'is that for me or for Daniel? Daniel, just give me 5, i'll hand over to you' Aiyor, i so pai seh la when he said that... it's like trying to say that we are trying to stop his speech... Sorry Daniel! We're actually cheering for the COO!!! Sob sob!!!

After his speech was the launching ceremony... 2 directors/officers of 988 were called on stage to witness the ceremony... And guess what, DANIEL IS THE ONLY ARTIST INVITED TO WITNESS THE CEREMONY!!! Woo hoo! Good job Daniel!!! And i super duper love his hairstyle today, and i super duper love how he looks today!!!!!! Then reps from participating sponsors were invited on stage to take a group photo...

1.45 - Daniel came out again... He sang XZHXJN... At first he went to the other side of the crowd... We thought he was too scared to come over our side... But he came!!!! Then Aunty Jwong and Aunty Lilywhite handed the flowers they bought to him... Aunty Melody handed to him but he showed signal with his hand 'WAIT' haha!!!! So cute la our idol...

Then Jeff & Sam came out and chit chatted with him... Asked him about the stage bcuz it was very unique, he said he love the stage design and asked about his current plans and work... Then he continued with his 2nd song - You Ji... He sang quite well, although in my opinion he was out of breath here and there... Then he came over our side again... Wah, see his face wanna faint already la... Aunty Melody went under the barrier thingy and past to him the flower... Then he took the flower from Aunty Christie... I dunno why, i think he was mesmerized by Aunty Christie's beauty la (and maybe cuz aunty christie came from melaka to see him), he macam ter-stop and didn't sang one sentence!!! He looks like he's very touched la... Hmm, i wonder why... Ish, jealousnya aku...

Then the first ten to buy epop + YG mag from the epop booth got to take personal pic with Daniel... So soursand, jwong, lilywhite, christie, kumiko, yinli, melody, jwong all went and queue and wait while me, meiling, teng, chunyiun stayed at the stage. We sang birthday song to 988 and won a goodie bag. Then the next artist to perform was North from Australia! OMG, they're super duper good looking!!! They sang the english version of Lao Shu Ai Da Mi (er, forgot the title sowie) and 'Hurry Up' both from their newest album. They can dance so well and so friendly... We were the loudest to cheer for them, the last part of the LSADM song is 'cuz i love you' and the 'you' they pointed at US!!! Wah, ah teng fainted already! haha! Awesome guys!!! Can breakdance, can dance, can sing, can play guitar...

Went back to the YG booth, coincidently Daniel arrived at the booth and took pic with the 10 of them. Managed to shake hand with him when he's leaving the booth :D he looked so cute lar! He looks fresh today! Must have had enough sleep :thumbup: Fish, Fanny, Kumiko, Puppies, Yinli all stood behind the backstage until Daniel came out while waiting for the photos. I guess was half an hour later.

Peeped once in awhile at the stage, Rao Yan Ting, Zhang QI Zheng and Yan Xue Qian played games with fans + other artists as well... Then at about 4 something there was this hair and fashion show by A Cut Above hairstylists and students... Awesome!!! Will post the pics later! Saw Winnie Loo upclose! There was one part where Luke, Morna and Emily (988 DJs) went on stage and Winnie Loo went up, with just a can of hairspray and few pins she changed their hairstyle within minutes!!! Seriously respect her!!!

That's all about it la... SOrry cuz most of it were not really about Daniel... Because Daniel's session was just like 45 minutes only... Thank you!

Sorry for keeping you all waiting. Here's the review

Meiling, Sevvy, Zyna, Xzendra, Chun Yiun and I reached Sungei Wang at 1pm. We thought we were late but we were there at the right time. There were 10 artists – only appearance, sitting at the VIP seats; Quincy, John (Superstar winner), Aric, Danny, Eric, Zhang Qi Zheng and Yan Xue Qian, Chen Yi Wen, Chen Wei Quen, Chen Yi Yi (If I am not mistaken) and of couse Daniel! (Daniel was wearing a white and purple strip t-shit inside and a dark purple shirt outside. Well, the purple shirt look kinda big for him :mellow: )

They went up the stage; 988 DJs, Jeff and May interviewed them. The artists were asked what special performances they planned for the 988 10th Anniversary Celebration DJ Award in Genting on June 3rd. Danny (or was it Aric? :confused: Sorry, can’t remember) said he wanna “pen huo” (blow fire). Someone said wanna swallow sword. And Eric said he wanna “tiao huo” (jump over the fire). Haha.. so cute la. Jeff heard Eric said “jump across the river” caused Eric miss-pronounced it. Haha. Daniel said, nothing special, except hoping that fans can sing together with him and also going down the stage to sing along with the fans. Oh, that’s really sweet!! The others, forgotten :tongue_smilie:

Then, 10 DJs came to the stage; each holding a banner, with different types of awards; best male DJ, best female DJ, best DJ partners, best program, best voice character, etc. The DJs were paired up with the artists. John was paired up with Nicholas. The funny thing I wanna highlight here is their similarity. John has a mark on his chin while Nicholas has a mark on his nose-bridge. When I saw them, I can’t stop laughing. Haha. Daniel was paired with Morna. The DJs asked the artists what are the requirements that what a good DJ must have.

Then it was photograph session. After that, the artists left the stage. The DJs were still on the stage. Jeff and May asked them what is the award that they hope to receive and what is the award that they think they can get.

That’s the end of the first session.

At 4pm, it was the artists performances time. The program started off with Aric. He danced and he sang. Woh!!!! His dance was awesome. :party0048: Pinkies were standing in front, Aric came in front of us and danced!!! Woh!!!! He made us screamed non-stop. He shook hand with some people standing in front of the stage. People behind started to push and squeezed to the front; some got to shake and some hands were not long enough, including me :p I pity those standing in front; “kemek habis”! Puppies, Kumiko and Yinli, “penyek” already ah?? :tongue0001:

Up next was Eric. He sang a slow song from his 2nd EP. Sorry, can’t remember the title. Pinkies shouted for him to come over. But he said “Let me start from the left side of the stage first.” We were standing on the right side. When he came over, the same thing happened; all rushed to the front to shake his hand. And again, my hand tak sampai :( . But Meiling and Szen were kind enough to share their handshake with me. :laugh:

After Eric, it was his another best buddy; Danny. Danny sang “Crazy”. He did a little dance, which also made the crowd shouted for him. At the chorus part, he let the fans sang “Crazy”!! Whoever who doesn’t know the song, of cause still managed to sing it; “Crazy” haha. I was actually hoping him to sing "Chin Yan" (Creep) or "Love and Freedom" :huh: Well, hope he will sing "Chin Yan" in Genting on June 3 :tongue0001:

After the 3 buddies, it was time for the female artist. 4 pretty girls, with the name Muffin, sang two songs. They danced while singing their second songs. There were Muffin’s fans with boards, too.

We waited patiently for Daniel. But still no sign. 3 female dancers came on the stage. All of their hair were dyed. One with pink, another one with green and the last one with golden + yellow. After dancing, Phang Xiao Kang (Superstar judge + songwriter) and his salon’s hair stylist came on stage. The hair stylist set up Xiao Kang’s hair with some spray and some trimming. After Xiao Kang, it was the 3 female dancers’ turn. Guess what happened next??? Surprise surprise (well, I was surprise). Xiao Kang danced with the 3 female dancers, with their new hair styles. It was some normal dance until he did some “mini” break dance (mini spinning). Woh, that was the thing that made my eyes opened widely and also made the crowd shouting and jumping!

Then, there was a fashion show. Some models wore really short skirt, till… ahha… you know what la. Two Superstar finalists were the models too; Von and Shyan.

The moment that we were waiting for at last. Daniel’s turned!!! He communicate with the crowd before singing “Fei”. As usual, it was full of energy! Yinli (the little gal) went up the stage to present Daniel flowers, twice. Daniel was surprised to see her and gave her a pad on her head. Ah, so sweet!! Meiling also went up the stage to give Daniel a pair of doggies (attached together). Daniel hold the doggie and flowers tightly in his hands and arm. Sorry Meiling, no "pad-on-the-head" for you :tongue_smilie:

After he finished singing, Aric, Danny, Eric, Muffin, Xiao Kang, the 3 female dancers, the hairstylist and the models came on the stage. Xiao Kang gave them a bouquet of flowers each. Daniel’s hand was full!! Other artists waved the with their flowers but Daniel was the special one, he waved to the crowd with the doggies!!!! :thumbup: Pinkies shouted “Daniel, Pinkies love you” and Daniel’s reaction made Pinkies shouted even louder!!! Wanna know what Daniel did?! Hahahha…………………:w00t:


Daniel gave us a kiss – “MUACKS”. Read me, it’s not flying kiss, it’s a KISS!!! :love0086: (because he didn’t have hands to do the flying, so he just gave us a kiss). Woh!!! I seriously prefer this kiss, because you can see his mouth doing the “muacks”!!!!:love0086:

Daniel, if you are reading this, just wanna let you know; As long as you are happy, Pinkies will be happy. ;)

After everyone disappeared from the stage, we ran backstage, hope to see and shake hand with Daniel. In less than 5 minutes, Aric came out, followed by Danny and Eric and Daniel!!! Yeah, we shook hand with them and said “bye bye” to them.

Some pinkies still standing backstage, chatting and laughing. Then we saw a few models came out, going to leave. We saw Von; no one approached her. So, Meiling, Chun Yiun, Maxine and me approached her and we took pictures with her. No need to explain further, we look so short standing beside her.
