about tea & the tea cup
I'll write "about tea & the tea cup" by this thread dividing into several-time.

As for tea, it's "Green tea" in Japan,
"Green tea" is called "Ryoku tya" in Japanese.

When I was a 3rd grader in my college, I made "Green tea cup",
is called "Yunomi tyawan" in Japanese.

Therefore, I think that it becomes the story of 1992.

Because my younger sister & I were in the different college with Fukushima prefecture in those days,
it became a story of traveling around Aizu Wakamatsu City & Kitakata City in Fukushima Prefecture by two people.

There are a lot of warehouses in Kitakata City,

the castle in Aizu Wakamatsu City.

If you don't understand "where is Fukushima Prefecture",
the map of Japan is put on the following threads, and look, please.

http://tristooges.com/forum/showthread.php?t=231&page=2

My younger sister & I entered the atelier where the pottery of Aizu Wakamatsu City,
and we made the cup of tea.

On the back side of the cup, first name is carved understanding who made this cup.
The cup was made on October 10.

Green tea is drunk pouring the hot water into such a leaf usually.

However, the machine that puts the leaf of green tea into the state of the powder in this manner is sold recently.

Green tea is floured with a left cutter, Green tea become powders like this...

It drinks pouring the hot water into powdering green tea.

Drinking flour of green tea seem to be better for health or more from green tea of the leaf.
Because the leaf of the powdering tea will be drunk together.

I drank tea in the cup that I had made for the first time in years.
Feelings are different from the time drunk in other cups. :

This story will continue next time...

The PET bottle of green tea is being sold by countries other than Japan now.

It came for "Ito-En" to market the PET bottle of green tea in Japan at the beginning,
and also for various manufacturers to sell the PET bottle of green tea afterwards.
However, I feel that the thing of Ito-En is still most delicious. :

It's "Ooi, Otya" of Ito-En to which the left side of the image has been sold since 1990,
and the right side is "Ooi, otya, Koi aji (thick taste)" that has been put on the market since 2004.

The PET bottle's that green tea entered having begun to be sold in Japan was at 1990,
and I was a 1st grader at college.

In those days, with the door in the apartment where I lived,
the vending machine of Ito-En including PET bottle of green tea was set up for the first time.

When the existence of the cold green tea's PET bottle was seen for the first time, I was surprised.
(I didn't know the existence though green tea with the can had been put on the market since 1985. )

Because I felt that cool green tea is not delicious till then,
I thought that cold green tea that had entered the PET bottle might be not delicious either.

However, when I actually drank, my idea changed that cold green tea was delicious,
I came often to drink green tea of the PET bottle or the can.

This is ITOEN's "Ooi, Otya" site (only Japanese)
http://www.itoen.co.jp/oiocha/default.html

I think that cold green tea of the PET bottle is basically suitable for any food. :
for example, sandwich & cold green tea, cookie & cold green tea...
(However, I think the food suitable for warm tea to be limited...)

This story will continue next time...

The reason why I started this thread,
I'm interested in an antique cup in the West.

First though I thought I wrote only a little by the thread below,
http://tristooges.com/forum/showthread.php?t=304

suddenly, I hit on,
"it might be green tea as for tea in Japan, I might write the thing.",
and I set up the thread separately. hehe..

I wrote the story of the PET bottle of green tea yesterday.
In the information corner of the news this morning,
I was surprised to be said,
"Sales of the PET bottle & can of green tea are twices every these ten years in Japan"
I felt it came out a timely story in the morning.

Because PET bottle & can of green tea appeared in Japan ten-odd years ago,
a lot of Japanese might have become familiar with green tea.

Next time, I write an antique cup in the West, etc.

After the meal, my father is always drinking coffee.
(my father has not been seen to take tea, father might hardly drink green tea...)
If possible, I want father to drink green tea...
It is said that green tea is good for health.

My father likes taking sugar in instant coffee fully with the spoon.
I saw father drinking coffee at the 4th grader in the elementary school,
and I also drank coffee for the first time.
At that time, I felt coffee was very bitter...,
and I was not able to be understood why father liked such drink.

My mother likes coffee and tea.
She was mostly putting honey and lemon in tea,
so I also was taking tea as much as mother.

Therefore, to 2nd grader of college, when I drank coffee outside,
I took milk and sugar without fail.
I asked for tea that the lemon made a set together,
and I put sugar in for tea.

When I was a 2nd grader of college,
"Why you make like that? I drink without putting anything in coffee & tea."
it was said by my lover...

After that, I came to be able to drink without putting anything in coffee & tea by effort.

I didn't like green tea so much, until I drank cold green tea with a PET bottle.
I came to like warm green tea after having drunk green tea of the PET bottle.

By the way, I'm studying "Antique cup in Europe" in the culture center in the vicinity now.
Teacher said months ago,
"American & Japanese drink coffee most in the worlds".

I don't know whether the story is true.

For me...
I drink two cups of tea & coffee a day, I don't drink green tea every day.
Is this an average of the Japanese?
Though I don't understand...

The story concerning an antique cup in Europe is made next time...

There might be a person who knows the cup "Wild Strawberry" of Wedgwood, too.
The cup is obtained comparatively cheaply in Japan.

Is there a person who knows "Old vienna rose" of Augarten?
This is higher than "Wild Strawberry".

I think it is made now, and it's easy to obtain it of a twofold cup above.

The following cup seems to be a thing made 50 years ago.
It's Wedgwood's cup...

I bought it several years ago.
I don't think it obtains this cup easily a little.

When my mother left a company several years ago,
I presented this cup to her.
Mother is interested in the cup of the brand thing, and has some.
She was pleased to say, "Feelings lighten if it took tea in this cup".

However, this cup is not antique but is vintage.

It seems not to be called "antique" if 100 years or more do not pass.

I have been studying "Antique cup in Europe"
for about five years in the culture center in the vicinity.

I study by using the following books.

There seems variously to be method of ascertaining an antique cup in Europe is a real thing or an imitation.
The mark being written with the following books on the back side of the cup & the saucer is checked.

My teacher tells a lot of stories except an antique cup.
Teacher is happy to hear the story because his knowledge is abundant.

I'm a student that perfect attendance for five only years.
Though it was variously in five years,
other circumstances don't happen on the day of the course.

However, I see an antique cup in Europe,
I think that is difficult whether it is distinguished whether it's a real thing...

I have not bought an antique cup in Europe yet.
Therefore, the teacher says to me,
"You should buy one antique cup...".
However, an antique cup is considerably expensive...
If it one cup is bought, CD how many might be able to be bought.

Am I who thinks a useless student...? haha...:

I saw a program on yesterday evening.
It was a story that the beverage manufacturer in Japan advanced to Thailand.

"KIRIN" of a famous beverage manufacturer in Japan started marketing the PET bottle of green tea in Thailand.

The PET bottle of green tea was already sold, and green tea was a boom in Thailand.

When interviewed girls of Thailand, they answered,
"In a fresh taste, I like it, because it's good for health."

Though the staff of "KIRIN" drunk green tea sold in Thailand,
there is sugar in green tea, and seeming very sweet green tea...
There are green tea of the strawberry taste & the lemon taste and so on... were sold in Thailand,
I felt the culture shock...:scared:

It is said that it's good for health to drink green tea in Japan.

However, I felt that "it's sweet entering of sugar" green tea sold in Thailand was not good for health...
Because sugar is not in the PET bottle of green tea of Japan at all.

The PET bottle of green tea in this photo seeming is selling most in Japan now.
(I like green tea of this manufacturer.)

"KIRIN" planned two kinds of PET bottle of green tea were marketed in Thailand.
(with "sweet" green tea that has already been sold in Thailand,
and reduced sweetness a little PET bottle of green tea)

In Thailand, the company that had sold the PET bottle of "sweet" green tea since before is a Thailand company (not Japanese company).
The president drunk the PET bottle of two kinds of green tea that "KIRIN" had made for Thailand .

The president said,
"I thought if it is "KIRIN", that it makes more delicious green tea.
I'm regrettable...
They(Japanese) don't understand the market in Thailand."

I wanted to ask him why the president marketed "sweet" green tea in Thailand.
However, the answer had gone out in the word of the president.
"They(Japanese) don't understand the market in Thailand."

"sweet" green tea is not believed for the Japanese.
It's a thing "Difference of the food culture"...

"KIRIN" began to put the PET bottle of two kinds of green tea
on the market in Thailand in May of last month.
Sales are good.

"KIRIN" seems to want to develop sales in Southeast Asia & the Oceania region centering on Thailand.
It seems to plan finally, even if the PET bottle of "it's not sweet" green tea is marketed in Thailand etc...
(Though I don't understand how many years to take...)

Is the PET bottle of green tea of "KIRIN" sold in Malaysia...?

If it's a PET bottle of "sweet" green tea,
I want to drink the PET bottle of the green tea as sales in Japan "it's not sweet at all" by all means...

There might be a person who feels that it's not possible to drink because it's bitter...

But, because original PET bottle of green tea is not sweet at all...

jwong welcome...
Not sure about this particular brand.... Shall look out when I go to the stores... Is the brand KIRIN written clearly on the bottle???

Many eateries locally now served flavoured green tea.... my favourite is passion fruit green tea... Its usually served cold, with sugar added...

I am still undecided, if I like it sweet... I normally have it hot, without sugar and I find it refreshing

Sorry..., my response is too late...

It's 3 years ago that I bought the cup.
The storekeeper didn't especially say anything whether the cup was used for 50 years...

I think so... :
The taste of the coffee drunk in a usual cup and the coffee drunk in a
beautiful cup is different.
When coffee is drunk in the cup of a beautiful design, feelings are good. :001_cool:
